A beautiful old restaurant that was restored in 1979, Arnaud’s offers gourmet French Creole cuisine in beautiful dining rooms filled with antiques. The adjacent Richelieu Room has a live jazz band and is a more casual place to dine. Be sure to sample an appetizer of shrimp remoulade, created at Arnaud’s, and the café brulot at the end of the meal, which is flamed at the table. There’s a Mardi Gras Museum on the second floor, free and open to the public.
