Some of the top musicians in New Orleans took to the stage at Tipitina’s on Friday, March 28 for Stones Fest 2014. Even though a heavy storm knocked out the power for a few minutes, the band never missed a beat, and the capacity crowd was dancing all night long.

Former Radiator Dave Malone brought some major league guitar power to the stage, joining Alex McMurray and show organizer Chuck Credo IV. John “Papa” Gros was joined on keyboards by an unannounced guest in the form of Ivan Neville, who materialized on stage unannounced halfway through the show.

Anders Osborne bass player Carl Dufrene and Marc Broussard drummer Chad Gilmore rounded out the core band, and the Honey Island Swamp Band, who opened the show, stayed on stage for most of the night. Aaron Wilkinson’s harmonica playing complemented Chris Mulé’s slide guitar, and Joe Stark of Baby Bee brought some great Jagger swagger to the night.
