‘Thriller’ Halloween Flashmob returns to New Orleans on October 31

2019 marks the 8th annual Thriller Halloween Flashmob Spectacular, an event paying tribute to Michael Jackson’s iconic music video and, of course, Halloween.

Led by Kenneth Kynt Bryan, this year’s Halloween flashmob takes place on the front steps of City Hall at 12 p.m. on Thursday, October 31. Hundreds of folks are likely to turn up, regardless of experience level. Are are welcome to join in on the fun and are highly encouraged to wear costumes. It’s free to participate, so get your best 1980s costumes on and bring yah mamma nem!

Many of the flashmob’s participants are students from schools across New Orleans, including KIPP Morial School, Crocker College Prep, Arise Academy, Plessey School, NOCCA, Lusher Charter School and many others. The flashmob is produced in parternship with the New Orleans Recreation Development committee (NORD).

Those who’d like to sharpen up their dance skills before joining the flashmob are invited to free dance classes, the schedule of which follows:
