Hanson announces 25th anniversary show in New Orleans

Pop-rock trio Hanson will celebrate headline New Orleans’ Joy Theater when their 25th anniversary tour comes to town on Friday, September 15.

Best known for their ‘90s hit “MMMBop,” Hanson will kick off the extensive tour on May 21 at their own Hop Jam Beer and Music Festival, which takes place in their hometown of Tulsa, OK. The band’s 25th anniversary tour will also celebrate the 20th anniversary of their massively popular debut studio album, The Middle of Nowhere.

While the band—comprised of brothers Isaac, Taylor and Zac Hanson—took the world by storm in 1997, they have also put out five full length albums since then, with four of them coming via the band’s own 3CG Records label. They continue to tour regularly and have maintained a devoted fanbase while also diving into the craft beer market (the trio launched their Mmmhops beer in 2013).

“Making music together for 25 years is a milestone that we had to acknowledge, and what better way to do it than with an anniversary tour,” said keyboardist Taylor Hanson. Added guitarist Isaac Hanson, “This year is not only about the two decades of music, it’s about celebrating the incredible community of fans who have been with us, singing along year after year.”

Tickets for Hanson’s show in New Orleans will go on sale to the general public at 10am on Saturday, March 18.
