This year’s festival features a who’s who of two-steppin’ stars, from Buckwheat Zydeco and Rosie Ledet to BeauSoleil avec Michael Doucet featuring special guest Jo-El Sonnier.

Bruce Daigrepont, Sunpie & the Louisiana Sunspots, Dwayne Dopsie & the Zydeco Hellraisers, Les Freres Michot and the Lost Bayou Ramblers will all perform. Also making a return appearance is zydeco ace Jeffery Broussard & the Creole Cowboys, and the hot New Orleans band Sweet Crude will make its Cajun-Zydeco Festival debut.

Admission is free, and so are the dance lessons! Glenn Laigast and Lori Bertaut from www.zydecocajundancelessons.com will be on hand for the entire festival, leading dance classes for those who need to brush up on their two-step!

Parking will be available in the Basin Street Lot (located at 501 Basin Street, just across from Armstrong Park by the old Winn-Dixie) for $10 per vehicle. Parking is not available at the Mahalia Jackson Theater.
