OffBeat Magazine’s First Martini Week Starts September 11, 2014

OffBeat Magazine’s first Martini Week is coming at you this Thursday!

OffBeat Martini Week invites local bars, bistros and restaurants that have reputable, signature or infamous martinis to participate in our first drink-making contest.

Martini Madness, Friends of City Park

Bars and restaurants joining in the festivities will design funky and fabulous New Orleans-themed martinis to serve at their establishments during OffBeat Martini Week, which will run from Thursday, September 11 through Thursday, September 18.

The fun starts rolling next week when we begin previewing recipes for these specialty cocktails!

This year our eight participating bars and restaurants are:

Marigny Brasserie: 640 Frenchmen Street
Three Muses: 536 Frenchmen Street
Pearl Wine Co.: 3700 Orleans Avenue, #1C
Richard Fiske’s Martini Bar and Restaurant: 301 Dauphine Street
Galatoire’s Restaurant: 209 Bourbon Street
Napoleon’s Itch: 734 Bourbon Street
Lucky Pierre’s: 735 Bourbon Street
Fulton Alley: 600 Fulton Street

The winning Martini Week cocktail will be showcased at this year’s Martini Madness event, hosted by Friends of City Park on September 19 from 8 to 11 pm.

Martini Madness, now in its 11th year, benefits the non-profit organization Friends of City Park, which serves to maintain and increase the value and importance of City Park as a place of natural beauty, culture, recreation, and education for the public.
