Drink up: the New Orleans Bourbon Festival is coming to town

Jack, Jim, Henry, Evan: these aren’t a list of past lovers, but four of the 90+ bourbons that will be featured at this year’s Bourbon Festival.

The third annual fest will go down March 20-23, with events taking place at the Contemporary Arts Center and The Hilton Riverside. The finest bourbon, notable distilleries and restaurants come together for a good time and a good cause. All profits will be donated to Kids Can NOLA, a non-profit created to benefit local children’s needs, be it medical, educational or general well being. From Thursday through Sunday there will be seminars, tastings, dinners, live jazz, and a VIP Bourbon and Burlesque show with Trixie Minx.

This year’s festival theme is Bourbon Legends, paying homage to bourbon history and industry legends. “We’re very excited to not only gather some of the bourbon industry’s best and brightest in our hometown, New Orleans, but also to recognize those who made bourbon what it is today,” said festival founder Tracy Napolitano. “Continuing off the success of what we have built over the past two years, the festival will continue to build attention for women in bourbon through seminars and partnerships with national groups such as Bourbon Women.”

The Bourbon Seminar Series will give festival goers an opportunity to network and educate themselves with talks from master distillers, authors, historians, and aficionados. Keynote speakers include; father son duo from Jim Beam, Fred Booker Noe III and Freddie Noe; founder of the Black Bourbon Society, Samara Rivers, and founder of Bourbon Women, Peggy Noe Stevens to name a few. Grand Tastings will include food from Briquette, Cavan, Food Drunk, Reginelli’s, Sucre, and many more.

Tickets range from $59.00 for Designated Driver Food Passes to $490.00 for the Ultimate VIP experience. Find more details and purchase tickets here.
