Creole Tomato Fest returns for 33rd annual event next month

On June 8 and 9,  the 33rd annual French Market Creole Tomato Festival in the French Market District will host two days of live music on two stages, cooking demonstrations, food booths featuring treasured and unique Creole Tomato dishes, kid’s activities, and the 4th annual Bloody Mary Market in Dutch Alley.

Delfeayo Marsalis presents the Uptown Jazz Orchestra, Johnny Sketch & the Dirty Notes, Little Freddie King, Big Daddy ‘O’, Kumasi Afrobeat Orchestra, Sunpie and the Louisiana Sunspots, Gina Brown, and Smoky Greenwell are some of the musical acts slated to perform.

In addition, 11 food vendors will deliver Creole tomato dishes.  PIZZA Domenica,  Crepes a la Cart, Cafe Dauphine, Voleo’s Seafood Restaurant and more will be delivering the goods this year.

As for the Bloody Mary competition, Stingray’s Restaurant of Kenner, Café Dauphine and and Miss Linda Green’s distinctive Yakamary are a few of the delicious choices festival goers will have the opportunity to taste.
