Jam Cruise Announces 2017 Dates, New Ship

Jam Cruise will return to the high seas January 20-25, 2017.

After three years aboard the massive MSC Divina cruiseliner, the one-of-a-kind event will move to the more intimate Nowegian Pearl for its 15th incarnation. Next year’s trip will bring music lovers to the Caribbean ports of Ochos Rios, Jamaica and Grand Cayman Island before swinging back to Miami. More details on Jam Cruise 15, including next year’s lineup, will be revealed in roughly two weeks.

jc15-tmp-linkshareOffBeat was on board the MSC Diniva for Jam Cruise 14 back in January, and we can say–in no uncertain terms–that it was an absolute blast. The boat featured mutliple sets from New Orleans icons like Dr. John, Galactic, Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue, Dumpstaphunk, Anders Osborne and more, along with funky Jazz Fest staples like Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe, Lettuce, Soulive and the New Mastersounds. As we noted in our February issue, there really is no place like Jam Cruise.

Next year’s lineup will drop later this month, but you can get a head start by pre-booking today. And while you’re at it, make sure to check out our daily recaps/photo galleries from Day 1, Day 2, Day 3, Day 4 and Day 5 of Jam Cruise 14, as well as our interview with Jam Cruise mainstays Ivan Neville, Chris “Shaggy” Davis and Annabel Lukins.
