Howlin’ Wolf and The New Orleans Musicians’ Clinic have partnered together to create a new program, Meals for Musicians.

Meals for Musicians Program to provide food assistance

Howlin’ Wolf and The New Orleans Musicians’ Clinic have partnered together to create a new program, Meals for Musicians. The program will provide food vouchers good for curbside pickup of prepared meals every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. at The Howlin’ Wolf Den. The program begins on Monday, March 23.

The food program is in response to the growing number of COVID-19 cases in New Orleans. Due to strict restrictions imposed by the city during the pandemic, many industry workers, including service industry, hospitality, musicians, and construction workers, are out of work. As of this morning, there are 479 confirmed cases in New Orleans. This program ensures meals will be offered to any entertainers in New Orleans who face food insecurity during these times of uncertainty.

The Howlin’ Wolf put together this program on behalf of the New Orleans Musicians Assistance Foundation. They ask for consideration of a $5 donation towards a food voucher, and 100% of the proceeds will go to The New Orleans Musicians’ Clinic. Those who wish to donate can do so on their GoFundMe page
