New Orleans Salutes Frank Sinatra

On October 23rd, New Orleans salutes Frank Sinatra with a special tribute show presented by Storyville at the Orpheum. The so-called “Chairman of the Board” would have been 100 years old on December 12, 2015.

Hosted by acclaimed actor and comedian Harry Shearer and conducted by pianist David Torkanowsky, the show will feature performances by Kermit Ruffins, John Boutte, Jeremy Davenport, Cliff Johnson, Leif Pedersen, and Phillip Manuel, as well as a special guest.

The spirit of Old Blue Eyes most recently made an appearance, albeit briefly, in New Orleans this past April, when Bob Dylan played his much-lauded show at the Saenger. Dylan’s wide-ranging set list included several songs from his latest album Shadows in the Night, comprised entirely of standards covered by Sinatra.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the show begins at 8 p.m. Tickets range from $55 to $90 and can be purchased here.
