The world television premiere of the #CreateLouisiana Grant-winning documentary On Va Continuer! will expose Louisiana culture and the musical talents of Lost Bayou Ramblers to viewers nationwide. The film will be shown by TV5MONDE USA on Saturday, March 23, 2019 at 9:30pm ET/ 6:30pm PT.

On Va Continuer! engulfs the true nature of Louisiana Cajun French culture and ancestral knowledge through the story of Louis Michot, a man whose life revolves around the culture he loves so deeply. The film showcases the passionate dedication to the preservation of Louisiana life through the eyes of someone who experiences it everyday. From the lively performances by his Cajun rock band Lost Bayou Ramblers, to his life on the bayous and prairies of Louisiana, Louis Michot is a modern-day champion set on expressing a southern lifestyle using the one form of communication understood by all: music.

TV5MONDE USA and #CreateLouisiana have come together to support local Louisiana artists and creators through the French Film Grant Program sponsored by TV5MONDE USA. The documentary was chosen from multiple finalists as the winner of this year’s French Film Grant Program. The film received a grant in addition to the honor of a USA broadcast premiere on TV5MONDE USA network.
