Pilgrimage Music Festival Draws Inspiration from Jazz Fest

This September, the first ever Pilgrimage Music and Cultural Festival is set to take place in Franklin, Tennessee.

The new festival, which was co-created by Kevin Griffin of Better Than Ezra, is set to start out strong with a heavy-hitting musical lineup including Wilco, Willie Nelson, Weezer, Sheryl Crow, and Jimmy Cliff.

In addition to these big-name acts, Pilgrimage Festival will seek to put the spotlight on local talent in an effort to highlight the diversity and community spirit of the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival.

The Pilgrimage festival focus on some prominent New Orleans acts like Dr. John, Big Sam’s Funky Nation, and Preservation Hall Jazz Band.

Aside from music, the region’s best food and drink will be on display, as well as numerous local artists and artisans.

The festival is set to take place on September 26, and 27, and Passes and VIP packages can be purchased via the Pilgrimage website.
