GRAMMY-Winning PJ Morton enlists Jo Jo for some Valentine’s Day magic

Last Sunday, PJ Morton took home a GRAMMY for Best Traditional R&B Performance, for his Yebba-assisted rendition of “How Deep Is Your Love.” Now, the New Orleans superstar (and recent OffBeat cover star) is toasting love once again, this time with  singer JoJo.

The simmering slow jam is called “Say So ” and features both Morton and JoJo’s immaculate vocals.

Of the collaboration, Morton says, “I’ve always been a fan of JoJo, even back in the TRL days. Her talent was always out of this world. I knew that I wanted to make ‘Say So’ a duet and wanted to make sure it was with a voice I truly believed in. I saw that she was free and clear from her previous label complications, and I jumped at a chance to work with her! I reached out and she was down. She flew down to New Orleans and it all flowed so perfectly.”

February has been a huge month for Morton. He played at the Superbowl Halftime Show alongside his Maroon 5 bandmates, and today (February 14), he’ll perform for a sold-out crowd at the prestigious Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C.
