Alanah Vaz is the 2019 Queen of the Treme Kids sixth annual march against violence in New Orleans. “Stop the violence and let me grow up” is their motto. They are our future culture bearers! I especially loved the way they showed respect with a dirge by Charbonnet Funeral Home as the funeral director observed them.
