Tonight (September 1) at Kermit’s Mother-In-Law Lounge (1500 Claiborne Ave.), Backyard Bash 2017 will go down. The event raises funds for Tremé’s Backstreet Cultural Museum, a local gem that helps keep the city’s history of Mardi Gras Indians (and much more) alive. The party will feature live music – including a special performance from Kermit Ruffins – in addition to free refreshments and a raffle.
