  • As much as I like the idea of Quint moving on, his replacement here figures to be worse given who would do the hiring. As amusing as the idea is to me (in a sick kinda way,) it seems to me that a more obvious choice (if are we limited to New Orleanians for some bizarre reason) would be Wynton Marsalis. Now if Obama were really hip, he’d pick Anthony Braxton or Richard Muhal Abrams or Ornette Colemam, but that ain’t gonna happen . . .
