Celebrating Tito and Celia

Margie Perez has been something of a Jill-of-all-trades on the New Orleans music scene, but her new band Muevelo could be the vehicle that finally defines her as an artist. The Afro-Cuban group is organized around the music of Celia Cruz, the Queen of Salsa during her time with Fania records, and Latin percussionist Tito Puente. Perez really shines in the context.
