HAROLD ANDREW “DUKE” DEJAN

(1909-2002)

 

“Duke” Dejan, who led the Olympia Brass Band and performed at Preservation Hall for more than 30 years, died July 5 at St. Charles General Hospital. He was honored with a jazz funeral and second line before burial in St. Louis Cemetery No. 3.
