Jimmy Breaux: Keeping the Dancehall Beat

That was the style, those were the instruments when I started playing music'," said 29-year-old accordionist Jimmy Breaux. The Breaux Bridge native grew up in the 1970s, but the pedal steel-laced Cajun dancehall sound of the 1950s and '60s was the music he developed an early affinity for.
