As anyone who's grown up in New Orleans knows, Lake Pontchartrain had a major impact on our lives...we swam there, we fished there, we picnicked on its shores, we spent lots of our summer nights at the city's only amusement park, we ate seafood at the lakeshore's restaurants, we boogied to music and enjoyed ourselves at West End. In short, we loved our lake. But time has taken its toll. The lake has been polluted for years now; Lakeshore Drive is often closed down completely. But, happily...
