Prior to the season of social distancing, René Coman was one of the busiest musicians in New Orleans. His band the Iguanas were holding down a weekly residency at the Circle Bar. He was also playing bass with numerous New Orleans musicians—both onstage and off—something he has been doing since he was a punk-rock teenager taking daily music lessons from his mentor Ellis Marsalis. And, in his spare time, he was co-hosting his weekly
