The walls of the blue room are papered with LP covers; 45 rpm records and CD jewel boxes. Awards and book jackets hang over the desk. A red and white, guitar-shaped neon beer sign casts a dance hall glow. This is Johnnie Allan's office, a spare bedroom in his Lafayette home. The desk is where he's put together three books on Louisiana music, and it's also where he writes some of his songs.
