New Orleans R&B Nugget “Direct from the Ghetto” Nets $2000 on eBay

Would you pay $200 for this New Orleans record? We didn’t think so. Nevertheless, that didn’t stop an eBay bidder from New York from dropping that amount of money on a copy similar to the one pictured here (though not nearly in as good condition). It is thought to be the highest amount of money ever spent on a New Orleans R&B/soul/funk single. The bidder is thought to be an investor, a collector, a deejay or all of the above.
