The Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra and special guests will perform the premiere of “Water’s Gravity” by Jay Weigel on March 24 at the Orpheum Theater. The New Orleans composer’s new music for orchestra follows the LPO’s 2018 premiere of his “New Orleans Concerto for Orchestra” and the arrangements he made for the LPO’s sold-out January 2022 concert with the pop-R&B-hip-hop quartet Tank and the Bangas.
