WHIV: A New Kind of Radio Station

One of the first songs played on New Orleans’ new station, 102.3 WHIV, was Vince Vance’s “I Am New Orleans.”

Self-described as ‘progressive, liberal, unapologetic talk radio,’ WHIV just launched, intentionally, on World AIDS Day. The mission is in the name, as it is dedicated to human rights and social justice, with a direct effort to de-stigmatize the disease of HIV.
