BlackAmericana Fest is back this fall for a two-day celebration of Black roots music, culture, and community at The Broadside, September 26–27, 2025. The 2025 lineup features Dom Flemons, The Suffers, Sunny War, Leyla McCalla, Nikki Hill, DK Harrell, Dusky Waters, AJ Haynes, Kelly Love Jones, Teena May, Kenny Neal, Crys Matthews, The Wild Magnolias, Sunpie and the Louisiana Sunspots and more to be announced.
Highlights include three live music stages, on-site demonstrations by the Black Banjo Reclamation Project, a folk art gallery curated by Mark T. Williams II, art installations by Pierre Parade Productions, local food and drink vendors, and family-friendly activities in the Kids Zone. The all-ages festival will feature live music across three stages, including a dedicated indoor space at The Broad Theater and outdoor performances throughout The Broadside venue. Attendees can also enjoy a vibrant art market, folk art gallery (curated by Mark T. Williams II), interactive installations by Pierre Parade Productions, local food and beverage vendors, and a Kids Zone with family-friendly activities.

Friday: What We Carry: Black Lineage in Folk and Americana Music (Dom Flemons, Sunny War)
Saturday: On the Chitlin Circuit: Touring as Black Artists Then and Now (Bruce “Sunpie” Barnes, Kam Franklin of The Suffers, local historians)
