Bluesberry Music + Art Festival Returns to Covington

The sixth annual Bluesberry Music + Art Festival will take place Oct. 4 in Covington with a stellar lineup of regional and national talent. Headlining this full-day celebration of blues music and the arts is Texas blues-rock singer/songwriter and guitarist Casey James. Other featured performers include Jared Daws, JJ Muggler, Julian Primeaux, and New Orleans blues band Kevin & The Blues Groovers. The festival will also showcase local and regional musicians on its Pavilion Stage.

Set in downtown Covington’s riverside Bogue Falaya Park, Bluesberry Festival is a perfect spot for music and art lovers to experience the arts amidst Southeast Louisiana’s natural landscape. In addition to music, the festival features live art demonstrations, 20+ artists selling original work, and a free interactive painting. The Children’s Village, sponsored by Louisiana State Senator Patrick McMath, offers kids opportunities to explore their creativity.

Food and drink offerings include the Food Truck Roundup, with local favorites like Rue Chow, Creole Tomateaux, Matt’s Chicken Sandwiches, and Hogs for a Cause — many with a blueberry twist. The festival will also serve craft cocktails, wine, and a selection of craft brews in the Abita Beer Garden, including Abita’s blueberry beer.

“As a co-founder of the Bluesberry Music + Art Festival, I couldn’t be more excited to celebrate our sixth year in beautiful downtown Covington! What started as a dream has grown into a vibrant celebration of music, art, food, and community, and this year promises to be our most exciting yet!” said festival co-founder Sarada Bonnett. “We’re bringing fresh talent to the stage, new art installations, and a few surprises we can’t wait to share. Whether you’ve been with us since year one or you’re joining us for the first time, Bluesberry 2025 is going to be something special.”
