Cluck Fest Block Party Takes Over LGD This Weekend

Cluck Fest Block Party, powered by Here Today Rotisserie, is taking over the Lower Garden District with a one-day celebration of chicken, community, and New Orleans culture. The event takes place Sunday, March 8, from 1-7 p.m. on Constance Street between Thalia and Erato streets (70130). Designed as a family-friendly community affair, Cluck Fest will feature some of New Orleans’ top chicken vendors, a full family fun zone, DJs, live music, and a festival-style outdoor experience built for maximum flavor and the kind of party only New Orleans knows how to throw.

“Cluck Fest is a love letter to New Orleans—the food, the sounds, the people, the whole atmosphere,” says chef Mike Stoltsfuz of Here Today Rotisserie.

“This is not a sit-down tasting. It’s a block party! Bring the whole family, show up hungry, bust a move, and leave full, tired, and with a new favorite chicken spot,” says event organizer Joel Hitchcock Tilton.

Guests can expect chicken-focused vendors powered by Here Today Rotisserie, each serving a range of styles including crispy, saucy, wings, stacked, spicy, and classic. Participating vendors include Here Today Rotisserie, Southerns, ChiChi’s, Bonafried, Fritai, and Johnny’s Jamaican Grill.

The musical lineup, powered by Urban South Brewery, includes Ha Sizzle, TBC Brass Band, Big Freedia, Raj Smoove, and Dawn Richard.

Drinks will be available from a bar run by Coquette restaurant, along with gourmet lemonade from Squeeze Society and Life Gave Lemons.

The Kids Zone, powered by Young Audiences Charter School, will feature performances and appearances by the Voodoo Baby Dolls, and Lil Prince Charmin along with the aforementioned artists.

The block party format is designed for dancing, social energy, and a “walk-and-eat” festival flow, welcoming locals, visitors, and anyone chasing a real New Orleans Sunday.

The event is free with RSVP. Tickets and additional information are available at https://cluckfestnola.com.
