Don Lemon will host Don Lemon Live: New Orleans New Year’s Eve on December 31, 2025, on Frenchmen Street. The event will take place at two venues located on the 600 block of Frenchmen Street: The Spotted Cat Music Club and d.b.a. The program will be presented as a live block-party broadcast.
Don Lemon is a journalist and television host who worked for CNN from 2006 to 2023, where he anchored programs including CNN Tonight with Don Lemon and later served as a co-host of CNN This Morning. Over the course of his career, he has covered major national and international news events, conducted high-profile interviews, and received several industry awards. Lemon, who is originally from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, has remained a recognizable media figure through his broadcast work and public appearances.
The New Year’s Eve production will feature performances by Big Freedia, Kermit Ruffins, Robin Barnes, Bo Dollis Jr. & The Wild Magnolia Indians, Glen David Andrews, the Treme Brass Band, Dr. Brice Miller’s Taste of New Orleans Jazz Band and Trumpet Mafia. Additional New Orleans and Louisiana musicians, chefs, artists, cultural figures and guest performers are expected to participate throughout the night.
The broadcast will be streamed live across multiple platforms, including YouTube, Twitch, Substack, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and additional digital outlets. This will allow viewers in cities across the United States and in multiple time zones to join the celebration remotely.
