‘Front Page: The Encore,’ Two Night R&B Event, at Contemporary Arts Center

Contemporary Arts Center will host Front Page: The Encore on June 27 and 28. This two-night immersive R&B musical experience, presented by Junebug Productions, tells the real-life story of a musical trio—Michael Turner, Octarve Anderson and Gregory Ringo—who first crossed paths at Xavier University, where they studied vocal performance. Performances will take place at 7:30 p.m. nightly.

Front Page: The Encore is more than just a celebration—it’s a bold and necessary statement about the transformation of the music entertainment industry. With its dynamic performances and interactive moments, Front Page: The Encore doesn’t just entertain—it immerses audiences in the rich, vibrant contributions of artists who are redefining the sound and soul of music today.

Front Page is a powerhouse trio of seasoned songwriters, musicians and vocalists from New Orleans, discovered by MCA Records in 1992.From crafting hits with legendary producers like “Tricky” Stewart and Soul Shock, to creating theme music for HBO and NBC, Michael Turner, Octarve Anderson, and Gregory Ringo have spent decades blending soul, harmony, and storytelling into every note. Get ready for three-part harmonies, fiya performances, and a journey through music that’ll leave you dancing in the aisles.

Additionally, this production dares to confront the hard truths that still haunt the industry: systemic barriers, exploitation, and cultural appropriation that continue to hinder real progress. Through a compelling blend of storytelling, music, and immersive experience, Front The show calls on audiences to not only witness history but to become part of the movement for a more just, inclusive, and equitable music industry.
