Grand Coteau Sweet Dough Pie Festival Set for October

The annual Grand Coteau Sweet Dough Pie Festival will take place Saturday, Oct. 25, 2025, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Town Hall Park, 231 Burleigh Lane. In case of rain, the event will be held Nov. 1.

The festival will feature sweet dough pie vendors, food trucks, arts and crafts and live music from Sheryl Cormier & the Cajun Sounds, Blue Monday, Next Gen Zydeco, Curley Taylor & Zydeco Trouble and DJ Hawk. Attendees can also participate in the Sweet Dough Pie Contest, where the public serves as the judge.

Pie varieties will include sweet potato, fig, custard, lemon, blackberry and more. Sweet dough pie makers can register early by calling 337-331-6352. Tables and chairs will be provided, and the event is alcohol- and pet-free.

Visitors are encouraged to take a self-guided tour of Grand Coteau’s historic sites, including St. Ignatius School, the St. Peter Claver complex, the Schools of the Sacred Heart, St. Charles Borromeo Church, and the St. Charles Cemetery—home to centuries-old oaks and historic gravesites.
