Nominations for the International Folk Music Awards are now open. This year all Folk Alliance Members are eligible to submit nominations for the Album, Song and Artist of the Year categories. Folk Alliance International members are entitled to nominate themselves or other artists for several International Folk Music Awards categories.

Nominations close on Oct. 9, 2025. Voting begins on Oct. 15 with the finalists announced in November. The awards ceremony takes place on Jan. 21, 2026, in New Orleans.
