Seasons "beatings" from Krampus Cove

Krampus’ Cove Brings a Dark Holiday Pop-Up to New Orleans

The creators behind the popular Black Lagoon pop-up are keeping things spooky through the holidays with the return of Krampus’ Cove, now open at Espíritu in New Orleans through December 31.

Conceived by Erin Hayes and Kelsey Ramage, Krampus’ Cove transforms the bar into an immersive, spine-tingling experience inspired by the macabre Alpine legend of Krampus. Guests can expect a darkly festive atmosphere featuring black Christmas trees adorned with doll heads, skeletons, skulls, and other haunting holiday décor.

The pop-up also features a menu of six creatively twisted, seasonally inspired cocktails. Highlights include the Naughty List Negroni (Copalli Cacao Rum, Campari, Lustau Rojo Vermut, passionfruit), Merry Axe-Mas (Maker’s Mark 46 Bourbon, Averna, spiced cider, miso butterscotch, Bitter Queens Tobacco Bitters), and Grinches Need Love, Too (vodka, pandan and peppermint, Lustau Palo Cortado, lemon juice, absinthe, Campari).

Krampus’ Cove is open Tuesday through Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., Fridays from 11:30 a.m. to midnight, and Saturdays from 4 p.m. to midnight.

Following the success of Black Lagoon—which has appeared in dozens of cities across North America—Hayes and Ramage launched Krampus’ Cove to reimagine the holidays through a darker, more mischievous lens. The pop-up blends immersive design, folklore, and inventive cocktails into a festive experience that flips traditional Christmas cheer on its head.
