Louisiana Music Factory to Hold 33 & 1/3rd Anniversary Party This Month

Louisiana Music Factory will celebrate their 33 & 1/3rd anniversary on June 21 with free, live shows by Kermit Ruffins, Tin Men, Little Freddie King, The Corey Henry Treme Funktet and Cyril Neville with Omari Neville and The Fuel.

Neighboring brewery Brieux Carre will offer a specially-brewed Czech Pilsner for the occasion titled “Like a Record, Baby” and will have food by “Shift NOLA” for sale. Neighborhood bar The Rambler will offer drink specials for attendees.

Louisiana Music Factory is New Orleans’ award-winning independent record shop. Founded in February of 1992 by owner Barry Smith and former-partner Jerry Brock, Louisiana Music Factory offers the largest collection of music from New Orleans and Louisiana anywhere.

Through the years the store has hosted hundreds of free, live shows in the store showcasing local music legends such as Allen Toussaint, Snooks Eaglin, Danny Barker, and the Preservation Hall Jazz Band. A number of local acts that have gone on to international recognition have performed at Louisiana Music Factory early in their careers; among them are Trombone Shorty, Tank and the Bangas, The Revivalists, Hurray for the Riff Raff and Jon Batiste.
