New Orleans Museum Month Returns This August

This August, New Orleans invites residents and visitors alike to celebrate the city’s rich cultural heritage through New Orleans Museum MonthFrom August 1 to 31, a single annual membership at any participating museum grants free admission but also to all 28 museums taking part in the program.

With just one membership, attendees and their guests can explore a diverse range of exhibitions, collections, and cultural experiences across the city throughout the entire month. This special initiative encourages the community to engage deeply with New Orleans’ vibrant arts and history scene while making informative visits more accessible and affordable.

Museum Month reminders include the following:

  • Bring Your Membership: Show proof (physical or digital) of your active annual membership from a participating venue at each location.
  • Free Admission for Two: You and one guest get free general admission all month long! Special exhibits or events may have extra fees. Adults visiting Louisiana Children’s Museum without children must schedule a tour in advance with museum staff by contacting [email protected].
  • Be a Good Guest: Each museum has its own rules for things like photos, food, and accessibility. Please follow their guidelines.
