New TV Series ‘Henry’s Listening Room’ Shines a Spotlight on Louisiana Music

Henry’s Listening Room, a new one-hour weekly television series hosted by veteran musician and entrepreneur Henry Turner Jr., is set to bring Louisiana’s diverse music scene to living rooms nationwide.

Filmed at Henry Turner Jr.’s Listening Room in Baton Rouge, the show features live performances by Turner’s band Flavor, the Listening Room All-Stars, and a rotating lineup of local, regional, and national touring acts. Viewers can expect a mix of genres—from blues and soul to reggae, country, and spoken word—along with interviews that explore the realities of making a career in the music industry.

The All-Stars current lineup are singer/songwriters Larry “LZ” Dillon and Owen Scott, spoken word artist Kelton ‘Nspire Harper, comedian Eddie “Cool” Deemer, poet Sir AP and Pastor Leon Hitchens. Flavor band members are drummer Jim Masters, bassist Larry “LZ” Dillon, with Ervin “Maestro” Foster on keys, and Molly Milne and Cindy Efferson on backing vocals.

Turner, whose career spans more than four decades, founded the Listening Room in 2014 as a venue where “stars will be made.” The show also includes insights from industry professionals on topics like marketing, management, and promotion, giving emerging artists a behind-the-scenes look at how to sustain a life in music.

Episodes of Henry’s Listening Room air weekly. More information is available at www.henryslisteningroom.com.
