Petrichor Records has opened submissions for its international music competition, welcoming instrumentalists, singers, ensembles, composers, improvisers and recording artists of all ages, nationalities, and musical styles. Open to solo performers, large ensembles, electronic artists, film and game composers, and record labels, the competition emphasizes artistic freedom, with no required repertoire and full rights retained by all participants.
Categories span performance, composition, improvisation, and recording, including awards for Best Album, with submissions accepted via video, audio, score, or streaming links. Entries are reviewed individually by the Petrichor Artistic Panel and jurors, with more than 72 winners and finalists set to receive cash prizes and official certificates.
Petrichor Records is committed to supporting musicians across a wide range of genres, not only composers. While contemporary classical music remains a core focus, the label also explores and embraces other musical forms that align with its vision and values.
The organization’s mission centers on identifying and nurturing new voices. Petrichor Records actively seeks musicians from around the world through open calls, auditions, and recommendations, and invests time and resources in artists whose work reflects its artistic and cultural goals.
Submission fees vary by category, supporting the independent label’s ability to present the competition and distribute prize awards. Full guidelines and questions can be directed to [email protected].
