New Orleans’ beloved community farm, Sugar Roots Farm, is bringing back its Pumpkin Fest for three family-friendly weekends this October: October 12, 19, and 26, 2025. After selling out last year, the festival promises fall fun for all ages while supporting the farm’s hands-on educational mission.

Festival highlights include:

• Pumpkin Patch – Pick your perfect fall pumpkin

• Live Music & Entertainment – Performances by Valerie Sassyfras (Oct. 12 & 19) and The Bean Sprouts (Oct. 26)

• Clown Yoga – Stretch, laugh, and play like a clown on Oct. 12, with sessions at 10:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.

• Pony Rides – Limited rides with a 120 lb weight limit

• Toddler Tractor Rides – Gentle farm adventures for the little ones

• Costume Contest – Dress up and win prizes

• Games and Activities – Fun for all ages

• Concessions – Seasonal treats for the whole family

• Free Pumpkin – Every child’s ticket includes a tiger-striped pumpkin to take home

All proceeds from the event support Sugar Roots Farm’s mission to cultivate community, teach practical skills, and foster meaningful connections with animals and the land.
