The Exchange to Host Scrim Book Signing Event May 22

Author Kaye Courington will be on hand to sign copies of her book about New Orleans’ infamous wonderdog Scrim: A New Orleans Story of Resilience & Rescue at The Exchange on May 22 at 5 p.m.

This touching and beguilingly nuanced illustrated book by Kaye Courington and illustrated by Aileen Bennett is the story of the terrier-mix rescue who overcame trauma and hardships and kept going despite it is for animal lovers who empathize with the obstacles all rescues face and endure. More than just a book—Scrim  is a testament to resilience and the lifesaving power of pet rescue. In an inspiring gesture of giving back, the author is donating 100% of her royalties to local rescues to support animals in need.

At the event, guests can enjoy happy hour drinks and bites, with food by Elliott’s (The Exchange’s onsite kitchen) while you hear more about the pup who stole NOLA’s heart, straight from the woman who brought his story to life.
