The Legendary Famous Rocks of Harmony Celebrate 75 Years of Gospel Harmony

The legendary quartet group, The Legendary Famous Rocks of Harmony, will celebrate an extraordinary milestone—75 years of spreading faith through song—on Sunday, November 16, 2025, at 3 p.m. Family, friends, fellow quartet groups, and supporters from across the region will gather to honor this remarkable journey of harmony, heritage, and heart.

The Jackson brothers, originally from Centreville, Mississippi, founded The Legendary Famous Rocks of Harmony after moving to New Orleans, where the group became a cornerstone of traditional gospel music. Over the decades, their powerful harmonies and soul-stirring performances have graced countless churches, festivals, and stages—including the Gospel Tent at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, where they’ve performed since its inception.

Today, the group is led by Andrew Jackson Sr., the last living original member, who continues to sing alongside his two sons while his nephew accompanies them on drums. Together, they carry on a proud family tradition that began three generations ago, joined by devoted friends and longtime members whose commitment and musicianship continue to shine.

The event will take place on Sunday, November 16, 2025, at the New Hope Baptist Church Educational Building, located at 1807 Reverend John Raphael Jr. Way in New Orleans. Doors open at 2:30 p.m., and the program begins at 3:00 p.m. The afternoon will feature performances by The Legendary Famous Rocks of Harmony, The Jackson Brothers, and an array of special guest gospel quartets, including The Veal Brothers of Gloster, Mississippi, The Voices of Distinction from Baton Rouge, The Harvey Spirituals, The Anointed Joylettes, The Crown Seekers, The Melody Clouds, and Bishop Joseph Carter & The Boyz. Tickets will be available at the door for $15.
