Three Maries Jazz Club to Debut Inside Omni Royal Orleans

The Omni Royal Orleans Hotel is preparing to debut a new live-music lounge and lobby bar as part of a major refresh slated to open ahead of Mardi Gras 2026. The centerpiece of the update is the 68-seat Three Maries Jazz Club, an intimate venue designed with dark walls, charcoal limewash details and floral accents that evoke a garden-inspired conservatory. The club will feature local musicians and jazz ensembles, adding another footprint for live performance in the French Quarter. As part of the renovation, the hotel is preserving its original antique glass map—an artifact accented in gold leaf—which will remain on display.

Adjacent to the club, the hotel’s new Royal Bar will open in the lobby with 84 seats and a design inspired by European glasshouses. A brass horseshoe bar, marble and wood floors, chevron details, and lime-washed walls set the tone for a lighter, more open space suited for cocktails or late-afternoon breaks. Both the bar and the music lounge will offer signature beverages such as the Royal Old Fashioned and Brandy Crusta, along with a food menu curated by the Rib Room.

The Omni Royal Orleans Hotel was constructed in 1960 on the site of the St. Louis Hotel, which itself was built on the former City Exchange, a 19th-century slave auction house. The Rib Room restaurant was opened within the hotel in 1961, becoming famous for its prime beef and being the location for several important New Orleans events and meetings. The hotel, which became known as the Omni Royal Orleans in 1986, has a history that includes surviving a devastating fire, the Civil War and hurricanes.
