WWOZ’s annual Groove Gala returns Thursday, Sept. 11, transforming Le Petit Theatre into a high-energy celebration of local music, food and community. Forget tuxedos and ballgowns—guests are encouraged to don their favorite festival attire for a night packed with live music, dancing and signature New Orleans flair.

The evening’s lineup includes several Grammy-winning performers: Irma Thomas, Cyril Neville featuring Omari Neville & the Fuel, the New Orleans Nightcrawlers, James Andrews & the Crescent City All Stars, Doreen Ketchens, Al “Lil Fats” Jackson and the New Orleans Catahoulas.

Guests can enjoy food by Dickie Brennan’s Tableau, drinks from three open bars and a cool, air-conditioned venue. Following the Mainstage Showcase, WWOZ DJ Neil Pellegrin will close out the night with a dessert dance party.
