Last weekend (October 18-20) was all about tasty food and music in the CBD as the eighth annual Crescent City Blues and BBQ Festival took place in Lafayette Square. Aside from the spare ribs, highlights included smoking sets from Jonny Lang, James Cotton, Shemekia Copeland, Mighty Sam McClain, Mel Waiters, the Lee Boys, Sonny Landreth, Tommy Malone, Cedric Burnside, Alvin Youngblood Hart, John Mooney, Blind Boy Paxton, Rev. John Wilkins, John Mooney, Jonathon “Boogie” Long and Beverly “Guitar” Watkins. OffBeat photographers Elsa Hahne and Kim Welsh took in the festivities and snapped these hearty shots… Enjoy!
