Hugh Masekela promises a full-blast of South African music as the trumpeter and his band welcome charismatic guest vocalists Jabu Khanyile, Busi Mhlango and Vusi Mahlasela. In celebration of the tenth anniversary of the end of apartheid in his homeland, Masekela plans on turning to his classic songs of the past such as “Grazin’ in the Grass” and “The Train Song” as well as other material that he defines as social conscious or liberation music.
