“Philosopher Of Soul” Passes Away at 62

On May 31st, 2000, Malaco recording artist and R & B legend Johnnie Taylor suffered a massive heart attack at his home in Duncanville, TX and passed away at approximately 10 p.m. that night at the Charleton Methodist Medical Center in nearby Dallas.
