"Music was all around—everybody played something,” trumpeter Porgy Jones once exclaimed of growing up in the French Quarter. Jones enjoyed a diverse, almost 60-year musical career doing what came naturally and what he loved. Warren B. “Porgy” Jones died on August 21, 2014 at the age of 74.
