The Love Dogs, New Tricks (Tone Cool)

Ranging from second-line jazz to zydeco, this kennel of jump blues Bostonians are entering new territory with the ferocity of a pit bull.
The Love Dogs third Tone Cool release New Tricks is chock full of great R&B ditties which blend Latin, funk, swing, jazz and gospel into one hell of a Scooby snack.
Of particular interest is “Long, Long Day,” the voice of Ms. Alizon Lissance on “Richest Guy In The Graveyard” and the remake of Keb’ Mo’s “Hand It Over.”
With a strong horn section, bass and keys (not to mention the male/female vocal pairing) there is no reason why this litter of pups shouldn’t be able to find a good home. Woof!
