This reminds of the kind of music they play on the WWL “Spirit of Louisiana” television commercials. Lyrics urge the listener to “Do the Mardi Gras Mambo and the Big Chief dance,” as well as, “You gotta do the second line,” but the celebration sounds forced. Interestingly, jazz pianist Angelle Trosclair is present, fitting well with the busy horn section, but not really catching fire. A fair release, but you won’t be singing this in the shower Mardi Gras morning.
