Christian Serpas & Ghost Town Inducted into Louisiana Music Hall of Fame

The Mandeville-based band, Christian Serpas & Ghost Town, has been honored with induction into the prestigious Louisiana Music Hall of Fame. The induction took place during their electrifying performance at the French Quarter Fest on Saturday, March 13, marking a significant milestone in their illustrious career.

Formed in 1999, Christian Serpas & Ghost Town have been captivating audiences with their distinctive blend of country and rock, often described as “twangified rock n’ roll”. Comprising Christian Serpas (vocals, acoustic guitar), Jeff Oteri (drums, vocals), George Neyrey (guitar, vocals), and Don Williams (bass guitar, vocals), the band has released nine CDs and performed nearly 2000 live shows throughout the Gulf South, from Austin to Nashville and beyond.

In their 25 years together, Ghost Town have performed almost everywhere. They’ve done clubs, fairs, festivals, casinos and concert halls, along with many dozens of TV and radio show appearances, sharing stages with everyone who’s anyone in country music (Kenny Chesney, Merle Haggard, Dwight Yoakam, Montgomery Gentry, Blake Shelton, Pat Green, Jason Aldean, Zac Brown Band and nearly 100 other national artists). They’ve landed songs on Country Radio charts, and received awards, honors and accolades from respected Louisiana music magazines including Album of the Year, Musician of the Year, Male Vocalist of the Year, and Top Louisiana CDs of the Year.

“Christian & Ghost Town caught my attention with many fiery numbers reminiscent of the great California Buck Owens – Dwight Yokam rockers, with high kicks and pizzazz, they totally won me over,” said Mike Shepherd, President and Executive Director of the  LMHOF. “Great music, great players, great show… Totally perfect for the Hall of Fame!”

Ghost Town received their induction the same month that they celebrated their 25th anniversary together. “It’s been a glorious adventure,” said Serpas.”We’ve had a blast, met a ton of nice people, and there’s still plenty of gas left in our tank.”
